So, it turns out that the person who pawned their Leica Q didn't include all the original accessories..

There's the lens cap and the charger, as well as the hot-shoe cover and a spare battery. So far, so good.

Unfortunately, the original strap (slim, black leather) is missing (replaced by a blue-ish black guitar-styled strap with "Leica" printed on either end; that I cannot find anywhere online) and, worse still:

The lens hood is missing too!

I guess, I can live without the strap and find a suitable replacement on my own.

However, the lens hood is, and has always been, the most important accessory for protection of my small lenses.

Sure, I'll use a B+W nano MRC filter as well, but I'd prefer the added benefits of reduced flare (especially considering the added flare with the filter glass!) and protection through the hood.
Also, the lens cap falls off very easily.

If anyone wants to get rid of theirs at a cheap price (it can be scratched and dinged and showing wear, as long as the threads are still pristine) or can point me to a cheap replacement hood (made from metal!) that works just as well with the Q.

I would really like to get one of those rectangular hoods (intended for short rf lenses) and not one of the circular gapped rangefinder hoods, though.

Thanks, @m9photo but that's exactly the opposite from what I wanted...

The ventilated hood looks ridiculous on the Q, since you do not need to see through the hood to cover the entire image frame, like with a rangefinder.

Also, he's laughably expensive, as in obscenely so!

+1. Exactly. I’m staying with the Q hood.

Just checked Ebay UK.   There are some correct shaped replacements at roughly £45.  Check them out, but also check whether the original hoods for Q and Q2 have the same threads, since the Q2 may have been enlarged/changed to support the waterproof claims.

I'd rather not get a 49mm screw-in lenshood.

First, it will 100% vignette with my protector filter on the lens. And secondly, they look weird..

I've used a Fuji XF 18mm f/2 so far, and it has the same design lens hood as the Q. I simply love this design.

However, it seems that no manufacturer has even bothered with copying the original design.

Guess, I'll have to bite the 100$ bullet and buy that stupid hood new.
