He has another 'paranormal' youtube channel...Taking advantage of people with belief that he can 'connect' with the paranormal is misguided and make his credibility suspect imho. I suggest to take his reviews with a grain of salt...But what ever floats your boat i guess lol.
TomB_tx Posted October 27, 2020 Share #64 Posted October 27, 2020 Some of Huff's equipment recommendations seem valid, but his approach is based on his "passion" and feelings rather than measurable data and fact. He dismisses the latter and stresses his "real world" reports - meaning if he likes it it must be wonderful. As an engineer by nature I prefer Sean Reid's analytical testing approach - which Sean also backs up with "real world" images. At one time I found Huff's reviews interesting - but he flits about too much, always jumping to the latest gadget. But that seems to be what folks want these days. I miss Norman Goldberg's equipment reviews from the film era camera magazines. (Norman was DAG's dad.)
astrostl Posted October 27, 2020 Share #65 Posted October 27, 2020 (edited) My big three for tech reviews in alphabetic order are https://diglloyd.com ($) , https://phillipreeve.net/blog/ (esp. BastianK), and https://www.reidreviews.com ($) In addition to being free to read, BastianK @ PhillipReeve is also the most prolific lately when it comes to M reviews. It's my favorite site overall. Pixeleater Posted October 27, 2020 Share #66 Posted October 27, 2020 I checked out the Phillip Reeve site and his reviews are interesting. He seems to be more of a Sony guy, and his focus on lens manufacturers is tilted to Sony camera body applications.

BastianK (one of the main reviewers there) won an M10 in a photo contest and kept it for reviews. His M-mount reviews now have coverage of both Sony A and Leica M bodies. Even the just-Sony reviews still have broad applicability with understanding of the limitations (thicker filter stack == worse edge performance, more field curvature)
