el lobo ciego Posted August 6, 2019 Share #1 Â Posted August 6, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey everybody - I have a terrific M6 and want to get a new lens for it. Does anyone have some advice about where to purchase and pros/cons. It is such a big purchase I want to get some feedback regarding online options as I do not have a dealer near me. The Leica Stores, Amazon, B&H, etc? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Edited August 6, 2019 by el lobo ciego Added thanks.
Advertisement Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Hi el lobo ciego, Take a look here Best Choice for Purchase. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Sam Posted August 7, 2019 Share #2 Â Posted August 7, 2019 B&H is the professional's choice and probably the gold standard for NY photography equipment sellers. Of course the Leica Store is also excellent. I bought my M10 from the Leica Store Miami and the service was perfection.
jaapv Posted August 7, 2019 Share #3 Â Posted August 7, 2019 Any Leica store can be recommended and I have not heard anything bad about official Leica dealers. You can find a list on the Leica website.
dkmoore Posted August 7, 2019 Share #4  Posted August 7, 2019 Leica store Miami and Popflash have been 100% reliable for me. BH is excellent but if you live in NY or NJ I would shop elsewhere to avoid hefty tax.

earleygallery Posted August 7, 2019 Share #9  Posted August 7, 2019 Depends if you want to buy new or used, Leica or something else. Obviously you can't go wrong if you buy a new Leica lens from an official Leica store, but you'll pay full price whereas you MIGHT find a better deal from one of the independent dealers. If you choose to buy used then stick to one of the reputable dealers who will hopefully give an accurate description of the condition and will take it back without quibble if you're not happy. Lots of options to consider.
ru2far2c Posted August 7, 2019 Share #10 Â Posted August 7, 2019 Another one for Popflash. Tony and Alex have provided excellent service every time I've purchased from them.
traderjoe Posted August 9, 2019 Share #11 Â Posted August 9, 2019 Another for Popflash and save some instant depreciation and buy gently pre-owned.
