jaapv Posted July 27, 2019 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2019 Welcome to the forum Banding is normal with extreme underexposure of the shadows. Expose more generously.
AceVentura1986 Posted July 28, 2019 Share #3 Posted July 28, 2019 I’ve only really experienced banding when pushing an underexposed image originally shot in ISO 320. Every other test or real world shot where I’ve pushed up to 5 stops has resulted in no banding, even those shot just a tad faster at ISO 400. Nowadays, I consider the M9M’s base ISO to be 400 and haven’t experienced any banding in years. Of course, YMMV.
RexGig0 Posted July 28, 2019 Share #4 Posted July 28, 2019 Welcome to the forum. I think that I am using my Monochrom 246 cameras in a “normal” manner. I have yet to need to “get rid of banding.”
