Knocked my 3 day old type 109 into the corner of a door and got a nice shallow dent right above the viewfinder.

I confirmed it has no affect on the viewfinder, thank god, but have folks tried to “pull” these kind of debts out before with any luck?

...or is this just a “send it to Leica for $300” kinda boo boo?

Decidedly not affluent. I guess it’s character.

To be honest, unless the actual workings of the camera are damaged, I doubt any company will entertain a claim against a small dent. You could always push a small piece of gum into the dent and use a black marker to color it.. As they say That's Life"  go out take pictures and forget the ding..
