manupod Posted July 21, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 21, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Knocked my 3 day old type 109 into the corner of a door and got a nice shallow dent right above the viewfinder. I confirmed it has no affect on the viewfinder, thank god, but have folks tried to “pull” these kind of debts out before with any luck? ...or is this just a “send it to Leica for $300” kinda boo boo? https://ibb.co/5vZtftL

earleygallery Posted July 21, 2019 Share #3 Posted July 21, 2019 If you paid by credit card you might be covered for accidental damage. Otherwise just accept it.
lykaman Posted July 21, 2019 Share #4 Posted July 21, 2019 Count it as a working wound..(Like my son says, once blooded, it feels used) - Or if you are affluent, trade it in for a new camera.. L

lykaman Posted July 21, 2019 Share #7 Posted July 21, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) To be honest, unless the actual workings of the camera are damaged, I doubt any company will entertain a claim against a small dent. You could always push a small piece of gum into the dent and use a black marker to color it.. As they say That's Life" go out take pictures and forget the ding.. zorky Posted July 24, 2019 Share #8 Posted July 24, 2019 (edited) I would contact one of the companies who do repair for hail damages on cars 😂 e.g. https://www.lucky-car.at/leistungen/hagelschaden-reparatur.html Edited July 24, 2019 by zorky
