For some reason, this image makes me think of Kodachrome (except it is perhaps a little too sharp in the fine detail).  Part of the effect is the contrast of the Carl Zeiss Distagon 2,8/28 (Japan, C/Y mount).  The camera is the Leica SL (601) that produces quite flat files with a long dynamic range, which can be adjusted in many different directions.  If I dig around, I can show the settings I used to get this effect.

Kodachrome, of course, is pure nostalgia for an emulsion that no longer exists except in the archives.  I used to think the M8 files reminded me of Ektachrome and the M9 Kodachrome.  Might be somewhere to start?

I've got hundreds of Kodachrome slides going back to the early 1950s. How many do you want. And what sort of subjects?
