CL and Voigtlander 15mm v2 - adapter not reading

I just tried the Voigtlander 15mmv2 with the Leica M to L adapter on my CL and it couldn't shoot anything. Tried Lens Profiles with Auto, Off and Tri Elmar and all didn't work. Am I missing something? Have never used the CL with adapter before this. Any input would be most appreciated!

Couldn't hand code the CV 15/4.5 v2 on my CL but it works fine otherwise. You may wish to erase your hand coding if any and try what Jaap suggested above. If this doesn't work, try to clean the contacts on the camera and the adapter.

Would using another adapter like novoflex without the 6 bit reading work better?

My Novoflex works as well as my Leica adapter but does not allow to trigger focus magnification with a top wheel since it has no coding pits. Try what we suggested above and tell us how it works.

Am I correct to assume, that if one uses a M lens (Leica or 3rd part lens) without any coding (along with with the Leica M to TL adapter), that there is no way to trigger focus magnification with the top wheel of the CL?

Be it coded or not, any Leica or non Leica M or LTM lens allows to trigger focus magnification with a top wheel provided it is used together with the Leica adapter.

As LCT says, the adapter enables wheel magnification, not the lens.

Anyway, today I went back to the shop to try the 15 v2 and m adapter on my CL and it works now. Turned lens profile to off. Works great as the v2 is smaller and lighter. Also did a quick test of the v2 on my M10 - no smeared funny colours at the edges!!!!

Thanks all for the clarification regarding the use of focus magnification with non coded lenses.  Guess one has to turn off  lens profile to get it to work if lens is uncoded?

Never had do to that so far. Works in auto mode as well as with a lens profile if needed.
