Issue with M6 winder

Dear all,

first of all thanks in advance for your kind support. I have just bought a Leica M6 from an amateur and using it with a 50 Summilux.
Analysing the camera, everything looked simply perfect and I bought it and the day after immediately tested it with a B&W roll to be self developed. That's exaclty when I realized that something was wrong:

1. My first issue has been related to film rewinding, after putting the camera on R mode, the lever was so tough to move and rotate and really really heavy

2. Then on film, the frames seem to be too spaced from each other as you can see in the picture below (at least 5 mm)

3. But what really concern me is the spring under the winder that seems to be damaged or somehow messy

4. Finally I realized putting another roll that during first 10 exposures the winder was light and creamy and after it becomes more and more to get tough as if it faces resistance somewhere.

Do you know how can I sort this issue and how much could this cost?

Unless you got a bargain I’d return that and get my money back.

The rewinding mechanism can fail - I think it’s just a washer that usually needs replacing - and it looks like someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing has attempted to fix it, but have just done more damage.

A CLA will bring the whole camera up to spec but it will be something like £3-500 or possibly more with your faults.

As seen here is the first time that the spring which holds the film leader is in that state.

I think you can try (if you want to keep the camera) first with a kind of fine screw driver to squeeze up that spring.

Many thanks! I met a friend of mine showing me the same and I got really scared about the cost of the fix.

Maybe I can try to relax the spring with a very kind of screw driver before to bring it to service. 

Since I have loaded another film with 10 shots already taken do you suggest me to finish it or remove it immediately and try to fix the spring?

I'd rewind the film with care, so to be able to reuse the same film (just note the ten frames) and after the film removed try to gently straighten up the spring.

If the operation is succesful, put the film in as usual, and "take 11 blank frames" with cap on the lens and 1/1000s.

Many many thanks for your suggestions! Unfortunately even if I tried to relax the spring it does not come back into the right position as new and therefore the wonder does not work properly even breaking the film when rewinding it.

I will bring it to the service but the guy who sold me that camera does not want to collaborate...so disappointed...will never buy something so expensive without a 1 year shop warranty...

You just got the M6 and the seller won't collaborate? If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't relent until the seller refunded my money or at least bore the brunt of the repair. I hope you got a killer deal to absorb the added cost.
