Advertisement Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Hi Guest Olof, Take a look here What would you pay for a 75 APO Titanium ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MP3 Posted July 25, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 25, 2007 Never heard of a 75mm APO Titan Cron. Would it be a 90?
Eoin Posted July 25, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 25, 2007 I'd have to agree with MP3, it a 90 Summicron Apo Asph, there was never any other version of the 75 Summicron Apo Asph other than the black one. (from my research anyway)

sdai Posted July 25, 2007 Share #5 Posted July 25, 2007 I paid 1450 USD for my 90AA-M and 1800 for the 90AA-R ... all were in mint condition and now all beaten.
jaapv Posted July 25, 2007 Share #6 Posted July 25, 2007 Imo it only is worth paying a premium for if you have a matching titanium body. Otherwise there is no real advantage if you want it as a user.
msadat Posted July 25, 2007 Share #7 Posted July 25, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) this is very rare, they only made 50 of them for the m7 titanium kit, 28/2, 50/1.4 asph and the 75/2, the set new went for 50k. i found a dealer, which has a unused original packed 75mm Cron APO titanum lens, waht do you think is a good price today ? sdai Posted July 25, 2007 Share #8 Posted July 25, 2007 The M7 titanium kit contains 28 cron, 50 lux ASPH. and the 90 aa, there has never been a 75 ti cron. The old ti 90aa isn't really worth much ... I would pay a 100 dollar premium for it if I really want it.

sdai Posted July 25, 2007 Share #10 Posted July 25, 2007 The 50th anniversary Ti set was sold via lottery and in a recent Austrian auction one set was gone for 105000 USD to Thailand.

jonoslack Posted July 25, 2007 Share #12 Posted July 25, 2007 i found a dealer, which has a unused original packed 75mm Cron APO titanum lens, waht do you think is a good price today ? As little as you can get away with I'd say. Sounds like it IS worth a premium though. Just don't let on which dealer it is!
wattsy Posted July 25, 2007 Share #13 Posted July 25, 2007 I wouldn't pay any kind of premium for it. In fact, I'd only consider a Ti lens if it is being sold at a discount to the equivalent black chrome version.
dseelig Posted July 25, 2007 Share #14 Posted July 25, 2007 Personally I hate the whole collector thing. Cameras are meant to take photos not sit in a glass case.
luigi bertolotti Posted July 25, 2007 Share #15 Posted July 25, 2007 Personally... I AM a collector, but those special series, limited edition etc... were rather a silly strategy to create some Kind of "affluent collectors" market...(maybe it has a sense for Porsches or Ferraris...); a real Leica passionate collector can become crazy to have a Compur Summicron or a Leica 250... but doesn't pose much attention to such items... and IMHO having a Ti lens and not a body... Pay a premium, if you like... for myself , If I would like to have a Cron 90 AA, i'd look for a standard one... were it a Titanium.. say 50 Euros more only if it appears that has been and can be used... AGeoJO Posted July 25, 2007 Share #17 Posted July 25, 2007 I could have sworn that Guy had a titanium 90mm cron AA late last year when he was still active at FM that he wanted to sell at a fairly low price. If memory serves, he had a tough time finding a buyer at that time. Guy, correct me if I am wrong but the more I think about it the more convinced I am that he had one FS....
