Once you put a lens that's as fast as the Q2 with close to the same focal length on the RX, you end up with a big honking camera. I have the Sony A7iii, and the closest lens to the Q2 is the new 24/1.4 GM, a fabulous lens. But even though it's relatively decent sized compared to other Sony lenses, it's still much bigger than the Q2's 28mm lens. By the way, when I bought my original Q (used) I also bought a RXirii (used) and tested them together. Here's my verdict - Q over the RXirii. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4124108 The RX 1 / RX1r cameras have a fixed lens like the Leica Q. It's a small compact 35mm fixed lens system. The mk1 has a 24mp sensor and the mk2 has the 42mp sensor and the "r" versions have no anti-aliasing filter,. I used to have the A7r ii before upgrading to the riii and the main difference was how quick the camera was to operate and AF performance. I'd imagine the RX1rii will be similar in performance/usage as the A7rii. If that is the case, that would be the main draw back (and the pop up EVF). The RX1rii cameras win in terms of size and flip out screen. I'm currently using the Q-P and while the AF is no match for the A7riii it is still very capable and doesn't feel like a PITA in comparison when going from one to the other. I'd imagine the Q2 will be better than the Q-P... how much I cannot say. Edit. I did have the 24mm 1.4gm. Lovely lens, superb even but I sold it once I had the Q-P. I feel the lens on the Q-P is actually even sharper with better micro contrast... which I didn't think would be possible.
