Nope. And I saved some cash.😎📷

I wouldn’t concern yourself much with rain. Just don’t get caught in a downpour and the camera unprotected. The Q is a fantastic camera as is the Q2. The Q was my first Leica also and I loved it. I upgraded to the Q2 and likewise love it. A better camera in all respects, but not night and day better. Like a next generation Porsche 911. Improving on an already fabulous product. Enjoy. Look forward to seeing your photos posted.

Thanks

There are already some of my efforts in the picture threads.

One thing I like about the Q2 which I’m not sure the Q has is film emulation settings. The Vivid setting is right up my street and my style!

Are you referring to the adjustable settings for JPEG saturation? If so they have been available on the Q from day 1.

Also the saturation settings are not calibrated to a specific film type (ex: Kodachrome, Ilford, etc). I'm not saying that the settings aren't useful, just that I don't think they are "calibrated" to a specific film stock so I would not characterize them as "film emulation".

No it’s called ‘film style’ in the menu. Also has two Monochrome settings in there.

The Q’s vivid in the jpg options wasn’t as much as I like.

Didn’t know that. Wish I had...

I don’t have a Q, but the primary reason I’m waiting for the Q2 is the weather resistance. Being able to carry a camera without a bag and not worry if it rains is a huge plus for me.

just curious if any folks would care sharing their serial numbers - maybe get an idea of a production range....

Well, THAT was met with a resounding THUD!

I ordered mine on 29 april and received it yesterday from the Stockholm Leica center. Yesterday it also became available in at least three other outlets in Sweden. Now one of them still list it as available. I guess a somewhat large batch reached Sweden yesterday.

The implication was that the next shipment would be within the next week or maybe two, and explicit statement was that they expected to have enough units to ship mine whenever they do arrive (my order date shows as March 8th; confirmation eMail was around noon).

I ordered mine on 3/7 from B&H and just received the shipping notification today.

I guess I inferred the shipment date correctly, but they received fewer than expected.  Mine hasn't yet shipped.

Park cameras advised that I am 70th-ish in the queue. They receive about 5 a month.

So see you all in late summer 2020...!

At least they are being transparent.  Many sellers are cagy.  I ordered my Q2 from PC on the day of release in March and received it two weeks ago.
