albireo_double Posted May 14, 2023 Share #23  Posted May 14, 2023 And one year after the last post in this thread, I can report that the lens is excellent on the M 11 Mono, too... No distortion here, just look at the sides.  Welcome, dear visitor! Very contrasty and very sharp and very "stark," like a built-in "Clarity" filter. Paved the way for the 28 Summicron ASPH and 21 Elmarit ASPH. IMHE slightly better than the f/3.8 in pure definition in the center (the Elmar improves on the Elmarit in the corners). But almost too stark for my taste. Produces very strong "stars" around, say, bright street lights at night. Below is about the only remaining 24 Elmarit image in my collection (like pixelman, I am more of a 21/28/35 guy, myself) - made on Pan F film with an E55 close-up lens to move in tight. Is there any drawback to that close up elpro lens/filter? Thank you, Mark
Manicouagan1 Posted June 11, 2024 Share #25 Â Posted June 11, 2024 I bought my copy when I was shooting with a M8 because the M8's widest frame lines were for the 24mm. Â My copy is sharp all the way to the edges. Â My picture count in Lightroom has as many 24mm keepers as those shot with 35 and 50mm lenses. Â The 24mm pictures taken with the M10 R and M10 M are pixel peeking sharp. Â Â
brooksveriwide Posted September 20, 2024 Share #26  Posted September 20, 2024 Here are a couple of recent shots at 2.8 wide open with very weird flare. Might this be a lens defect? Your thoughts, please. Welcome, dear visitor! JoshuaR Posted September 20, 2024 Share #27 Â Posted September 20, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone used this lens on an SL camera? I'm looking for a 24mm for my SL2-S, and would prefer an M lens to any of the autofocus options. But I know some of the wider M lenses don't play well with the SL sensor....
