wlaidlaw Posted January 5, 2021 Share #41  Posted January 5, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Mr. Lim case is excellent and is much more convenient than the CL Leica grip, which has to be removed to change the battery. I would have bought one for my M10-R but oddly they only do black with black stitching which looks rather dull. It also does not have a battery access port, so I went for one of Luigi Cresenzi's suede half cases with built in grip, instead. Wilson

Guytou Posted January 5, 2021 Share #42  Posted January 5, 2021 Hello, I just recently bought a CL + 18mm + 18-56mm + Leica thumb rest + Leica grip as new. I looked at several leather half-cases and my choice fell on this model from Artisan & Artist : http://www.artisan-n-artist.com/product_detail.php?id=495 I prefer this half case which is very well made and more practical than the Leica grip. With the thumb rest, the whole is very pleasant to use.  Guytou
lawman Posted January 7, 2021 Share #43  Posted January 7, 2021 I have a Leica handgrip but got tired of removing it to change batteries and cards so I bought a Haoge grip which is designed the way the leica grip should’ve been. Together with the Thumbie it makes an excellent way to handle the CL.
AdHox Posted January 7, 2021 Share #44  Posted January 7, 2021 I like my CL with the both grips. I prefer to hang my CL from my fingers while not actively shooting (with a wrist strap for safety) and the grips mean that my fingers can stay very relaxed. It makes for a comfortable day. From a style viewpoint, the plain base plate keeps a clean look that works with the CL's aesthetic. I haven't run into any problems with access to the SD card or battery, but I don't use my CL for high volume shots - I don't shoot events, and I use another system for sports. I used to find the flex in the grip disconcerting. It still flexes, but I've got used to it; nonetheless I might try adding something between the grip and the body as suggested earlier in this thread.
