Nothing new or surprising given that every new digital M and S has been released between 3 and 4 years after prior model.  The SL was released October 20th 2015. And given the projected Panasonic release in early to mid 2019, as well as the S3, it would be shocking not to see an SL2 in the next year.

What happened to Steefen Skopp?

After delivering the SL project, Steffen is gone. He’s gone from Leica as I understand. His LinkedIn profile definitely indicates this.
