Hi, i'm wondering if you have the correct exif data lens  for the M-lens 6bit coded when used with original leica M-to-L adapter.

Have you the Name and focal of the lens in EXIF?

I haven't the  original adapter, and i don't have this information in EXIF, even i indicate manually the type of the lens.... no value

So , when i load the dng file in lightroom i can't correct the distortion and the vignette automatically....

So i'm wondering if the problem was the adapter....

this is an example with dng file:

Yes the name and focal length of the lens are mentioned in the exif data. Not the f-stop number though.

Yes the EXIF data is embedded correctly for all my M and R lenses with the Leica adapters.

However, I’ve found that LR often fails to identify the lens and auto-apply its corrections.  Which ultimately I don’t find to be a problem anyway because not all the LR lens profiles are perfect..

It does apply the Leica lens code correction delivered in the raw file metadata, however.

tnx...  i noticed that you can choose manually the M lens from a list but ,without original adapter , in exif data will not have the Lens used , the focal ecc...  i don't know if the corrections are applied by the way...

I believe that the EXIF data will only be added if you use a Leica mount adapter (I use M Adapter L and R Adapter M, stacked, for R lenses) or an adapter that communicates with the camera's six-bit coding system in the case of adapters to Leica M mount.

A typical exposure from my library shows the status of the built-in lens profile in the Lens Correction panel, pops up the Information Box when you click the "i" in the lens correction panel, and shows the lens type and other sundry info in the EXIF data panel. See pix below.
