Einst_Stein Posted September 27, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 27, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Apparently the M viewfinder's infinite mismatch is a result of drifted screw position or some parts of the arms. What causes that? how to avoid? Any known practice?

Exodies Posted September 27, 2018 Share #2 Posted September 27, 2018 When it happened to me it was a lens which had drifted. The effect was the rangefinder images wouldn’t overlap at the infinity stop. Sent lens to Leica, returned ok.

What causes that? how to avoid? Any known practice? just carry a 2mm hex key and spend a few seconds to adjust if needed. Not that it is a common occurrence. John Ricard Posted October 1, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 1, 2018 just carry a 2mm hex key and spend a few seconds to adjust if needed. Not that it is a common occurrence. It might be helpful to post more detailed instructions. If the OP is asking how to adjust the lens, the small bit of information you are providing here isn't going to be helpful. Not trying to be disrespectful at all, so please pardon the tone of this post if it comes across negative. That is not my intention.

jdlaing Posted October 1, 2018 Share #6 Posted October 1, 2018 Best practice would be take a photograph with the focus ring at infinity and see if the image, at infinity, is actually out of focus.
