stuny Posted August 7, 2006 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) The exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History was of snakes and lizards. You've seen a few of the lizards in my posting on this section, called "Liz - 5 images". this time we have some snakes. Below are an emerald tree boa, a green tree mamba, a Campbell’s Milk Snake (looks like a coral snake) and a Burmese python. As with the lizards, these, too are shot using the FX01. beramos Posted August 7, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 7, 2006 Stuart, I like more the second by the originality to seem a leaf more. Excellent color and quality. - BR
jmr Posted August 7, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 7, 2006 Stuart, all good, but I really like the light in the first one.
fotografr Posted August 7, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 7, 2006 Every bit as good as the lizard posts. That Milk Snake really does look like a Coral Snake. Kind of freaked me out seeing such a close shot of it initially, but nothing like the Mamba--one of the most poisonous snakes in the world.
abrewer Posted August 7, 2006 Share #5 Posted August 7, 2006 Problem resolved, Stuart! Vivacious colors in these images. Where is your RD-1? Have you sold it to make room for an M8? Thanks. Allan
leicamann Posted August 7, 2006 Share #6 Posted August 7, 2006 Ditto all good..ahh yeah, the smaller Green Mamba is indeed the most deadly, I believe you have about 16 seconds to make peace with your Maker after being bitten. Not as deadly as the Two Step, yup bite...two steps and your RIP. Thanks for your posts Stuart Regards, Leicamann

ddh Posted August 7, 2006 Share #8 Posted August 7, 2006 Another good series, Stuart. I also think the mamba stands out. BTW, get your python checked, I think it has cataracts ;-)
stuny Posted August 7, 2006 Author Share #9 Posted August 7, 2006 Bernardo, John, Leicaman, Erich & Daniel - Thank you. Brent - Thank you. There are actually two milk snakes curled up together but it's difficult to see. Allan - Thanks for handling that and for your comments. Never had an RD-1 -- I just can't get used to using rangefinders. Still have the DMR, and within the hour will post some DMR baby shower pictures in the Family section of our site.
