dancook Posted September 11, 2018 Author Share #22 Posted September 11, 2018 Welcome back to Leica I just traded my Q for a CL + cash. I had the Titanium version as well. Great camera... Thanks! I briefly considered the CL, but the Q is what I really need. I have the Hasselblad X1D with 90mm lens (~70mm FF) So between them I cover all I want for personal use, street, portraiture and live music. Looking forward to taking it for a proper spin tomorrow, on the flight I was feeling sad that hadn't got to use it properly yet. What made you go for the CL, versatility of focal lengths? Viv Posted September 12, 2018 Share #23 Posted September 12, 2018 I was tempted by the CL, but the larger sensor of the Q won the day. Was it a mistake? Time will tell.
prk60091 Posted September 12, 2018 Share #24 Posted September 12, 2018 I got mine yesterday! First impressions are very good. However, a quick snapshot shows that the lens hood cuts the corners of the frame. Not good! What program are you using to process your images. I had the same issue -before the lens profiles were added to the programs? Do the in camera jpg's show the same vignetting?
Viv Posted September 12, 2018 Share #25 Posted September 12, 2018 I use Photo Ninja. The jpgs do not show the vignetting, nor the barrel distortion of the RAW files.
Leica Guy Posted September 12, 2018 Share #26 Posted September 12, 2018 I use Photo Ninja. The jpgs do not show the vignetting, nor the barrel distortion of the RAW files. My guess is Photo Ninja does not have a profile for the Q to deal properly with the DNG. It’s not the camera.

M11 for me Posted September 14, 2018 Share #28 Posted September 14, 2018 We saw above that the corner were just cut off in the jpg compared to the dng. Can that really be true? That would just take some part off the sensor.
