Okay rearranged the bags. Put the batteries in the safari jacket, put the binoculars in the suitcase and will put my laptop under my arm...... My camera bag is still heavy but maybe only 5 kg over....might be able to put the S007 in the safari jacket as well

Leica S and Hassablad H6D100c...... I am taking HC300, 150, and 50 plus H to S adapter.....I am also taking a 1.7 TC but don't plan to use it as there is no AF with it attached to the HC300

Years ago I used to travel with 2 x MF bodies, 4 lenses, backs, prisms, etc.. I carried mine because it was work and the usage of the day preferred MF. I would not go back to carrying MF though because whilst its fun up to a point, its a point which is all too easily exceeded. Now I carry 2 x M camera bodies and 3 lenses which is quite enough. And I enjoy trips far more as a result. My current photographic philosophy is that gear is there to enable not to hinder.

WiFi is garbage but I will try and give an update. Leica S has worked great with the Hasselblad HC50 and 150......more 50 up to now. It's had a few hiccups when wakining from sleep as it sometimes locks up and needs a battery pull to get it going. I have seen one file with shadowing on it like when I tried using my HC300 on it but the rest of the files look amazing.

The H6D with the HC300 has worked flawlessly, hard on batteries maybe but I have plenty of those, I tried the 1.7 TC once while trying to shoot a lion in a tree but it was crap so won't try that again.

Weather has been great and I have seen more wildlife than I had dreamt I would see.....

Last night on the way back to camp just before dark I got an amazing picture of a leopard in a tree, I will share that when I get some decent wife free.

Later

Another update. We are now is dustville.....

Dust everywhere and I can report back that both systems are handling it well.

I've decided to wait until I get home before I post up anything.......as some are Soo7 and some H6D I will probably put them full size JPGs on my website and post a link to that....I will also post forum size images on my blog if that will help some........

I've really enjoyed shooting with my S again, can't wait to see what the files look like once downloaded onto my computer

Nice shots their! Awesome stuff, makes me want to go shoot safari with the 300mm Hasselblad and S... but I'll have to go to the gym first, or let hubby carry all of it hahah.
