1961 35mm 'lux purchased in 1967 for 598 Swiss Francs when they were about five for the dollar. This shot with an M4 at f1.4.

I think the soft focus is cool, but it may be partly due to not being focused accurately.

btw when was the "steel rim"? This 'lux doesn't have one.

Nice pic, has a lovely mood. If it is a 1961 Summilux then it should be a steel rim as according to online sources, the v2 was not released until 1967. The first 3 digits of the serial number will help place the lens a little easier if you have them to hand?

Summilux 35/1.4 v1 ("steel rim", E41 filters) up to serial # 2166700 (1966) and v2 (Series 7 filters) from 2166701 and above AFAIK, so yours must be a v2 i suspect.

Tuschinski Theater, Amsterdam
HP5 pushed to 1600, still i needed to use 1/15. Focusing was a real pain!

I know this is from a while back, but how could this be anything else but Fangorn Forest, the angle even feels right!
