The bokeh from the lens is all that has changed at the mill after more that a century !

i watched all 107 pages. all. consumed in one single day. i come to the personal conclusion that it's a terrible lens on digital wide open, but shines on film like no other lens and gives you especially on b&w THAT look that were burned deep into the collective memory by the old masters. it's a must have and the to go lens for the street imo. pulling the trigger for the M6 on this

The Summilux 35/1.4 v2 is not my favorite but in spite of being a 30+ years old lens, i find it quite decent wide open on digital (M11, Summilux 35/1.4 v2, f/1.4, FF & crop). YMMV.

Xmas at Norwich market.  M10-D, 35mm Summilux v2.

1. View of the market taken a few minutes after sunset @ f/1.4.

2. View from the window seen in photo 1 to the left of the blue "H" sign. Taken around 20 mins after the first @ f/2.8.

When I make panoramas, I tend to stop down a lot to avoid vignetting. These images appear to be taken with a wide aperture, yet there is only vignetting in the usual four corners. How did you do that?

Yes, they were taken at 1.4. Did the pano in LrClassic, then edited for effect and even added some vignette. Worked ok
