North / Northwest Posted August 8, 2018 Share #1  Posted August 8, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) With the help of a neighbor we were able to capture this injured Great Horned Owl. I'm happy to say he has recovered from a damaged wing and has been returned to the wild. It took a couple of months at a wild animal rescue center and free services from a caring veterinarian. It's nice that people care. Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted August 9, 2018 Share #3  Posted August 9, 2018 Terrific. A friend in northern California volunteers her time to rehabilitating raptors. Wonderful, fulfilling work.

North / Northwest Posted August 17, 2018 Author Share #8 Â Posted August 17, 2018 Thank you everyone. It was a nice experience. Interestingly we just had a young grizzly bear raiding chickens from family farms near me. Happy to say Fish & Game trapped him and returned him to the mountains. Hopefully he stays out of trouble.
