How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. Man, that color really pops. Great shot. It really makes me want to bring my Digilux 3 back out. I’m currently in a project focused on the Digilux 2, but I definitely need to show this camera more love. Thanks for keeping this thread going!

Thank you lemalk, appreciate it! I got out early enough to shoot in that wonderful morning light. Yes, I really love this old tech Leica camera, it’s kind of the only one I could afford and every time I start thinking about getting an M Leica (I had an M8 for 6 months some 5 years back, awesome camera, bit cumbersome to shoot in some ways) I just look at some of the images I make with the D3 and think I’m already getting the Leica “glow” so why not just be happy with it…..and it has autofocus! 

I know the cult around the Digilux 2 is way larger than the Digilux 3, I guess it’s that CCD sensor and Leica zoom lens that make it so desirable. The images I see made with the 5mp D2 are really astounding. I saw some of yours on the D2 thread and gave some likes to them. It’s unbelievable what a 20 year old Leica can still do. It’s a testament of the genius behind the engineering and design of Leica cameras and why they still command big money on the used market.
 

Good luck with your D2 project, hope to see some more images soon.
