benpisati Posted July 26, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I sent to clean the sensor of my leica Q 4 months ago, out of warranty. Now it's dirty again, worse than before. Someone sent to clean the sensor twice? The first time I did not pay anything, will it be so for the second time? jaapv Posted July 26, 2018 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2018 Rather unlikely that you have to pay, I would say.

I sent the camera and was away for a month and a half, now I have to send her back, another month and a half. where is my fault if the sensor gets dirty? jaapv Posted July 26, 2018 Share #4 Posted July 26, 2018 ??? If you want an unqualified answer, you'll have to ask Leica...
benpisati Posted July 26, 2018 Author Share #5 Posted July 26, 2018 ??? If you want an unqualified answer, you'll have to ask Leica... I know what I have to do, I've only asked if someone sent to clean the sensor twice.
andybarton Posted July 26, 2018 Share #6 Posted July 26, 2018 I have no experience of sending a camera back to Leica for a sensor clean, but given that the camera and lens are a sealed unit, I would suggest that there is more to this than meets the eye. Leica should not just clean the sensor, but advise why it's actually getting dirty in the first place.
jaapv Posted July 26, 2018 Share #7 Posted July 26, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Indeed, the sensor and lens are a unit. I would not be surprised if it were replaced this time.

benpisati Posted July 26, 2018 Author Share #9 Posted July 26, 2018 Indeed, the sensor and lens are a unit. I would not be surprised if it were replaced this time. they have already replaced it (lens e sensor) three months ago, without paying
