Graham (G4FUJ) Posted May 28, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted May 28, 2018 The sound was fantastic, though not as loud as many expect. Just watching the valve gear can be mesmerising!

Graham (G4FUJ) Posted June 8, 2018 Author Share #8 Posted June 8, 2018 Right.. That is a large V8 I'll try to capture one or two larger ones when it comes to the Vintage Sports Car Club meetings later in the year Bill. Problem is, I'm there as an official of the meeting, so not supposed to be taking photographs. I only managed to capture the one above, from the entrance to Hill Control, while we had a short period to deal with an incident up the hill (IIRC a previous driver had scattered gravel across the track when he didn't stay fully on the tarmac ). Bill W Posted June 9, 2018 Share #10 Posted June 9, 2018 I'll try to capture one or two larger ones when it comes to the Vintage Sports Car Club meetings later in the year Bill. I only managed to capture the one above, from the entrance to Hill Control, while we had a short period to deal with an incident up the hill (IIRC a previous driver had scattered gravel across the track when he didn't stay fully on the tarmac ). I would guess that those old V8's had a lot of torque but not the HP of moderne ones. Love the chain drive on this one.
