They say the weather is so changeable in Normandy that you can experience all four seasons in one day. We observed that in September. About 15 minutes before I took this photo of the sun shining brightly on the boats in the harbor at Honfleur, it was raining cats and dogs. Later in the day, the wind came up and blew more leaves off the trees. The only season missing was summer—it never got very warm.  MP | 50 APO | Monopan 50

Interesting, did you use a filter?

Possibly—I don't remember. When a scene includes puffy white clouds, I almost always have an orange filter on to increase the contrast between the clouds and the blue sky. Most other times, I have a yellow filter on. In this case, there wasn't much blue sky, so I may not have had a filter on at all. Also, I was shooting with Monopan 50, which is already so slow it makes me reluctant to reduce the light reaching the film, and slowing down the shutter speed, by adding filters—unless the scene is fairly brightly lit. Thanks for asking.
