I remember reading a book on the history of Alfa's. It said something along the lines of, "when BMW was selling bubble cars, Alfa was competing in F1, spawned Ferrari, and making glamorous cars for the rich and famous". I love old Alfas!

Bill -

If you ever get to Philadelphia the Simeone Auto Museum has several Alfas from this era. http://www.simeonemuseum.org/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIupj0leCl2gIV0LfACh0-jwiFEAAYASAAEgI42PD_BwE.  You can see about 100 of my photos from their collection at this link:  http://www.barbara-and-stu.com/plogger/index.php?level=album&id=204
