abrewer Posted April 1, 2018 Author Share #8 Posted April 1, 2018 Yes, the treaded tire is the rain tire, and my recollection is one of the practices in St Pete was in the wet. It doesn't necessarily always mean a wet track, though. Because it has a higher ride-height and ground clearance, teams will sometimes trailer the cars around the garage area on these treads so as not to scrape the underside of the chassis. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
