Ulf Wold Posted February 26, 2018 Share #1 Â Posted February 26, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anybody know if it is possible to use the Voigtlander Color-Skopar 21mm f/4 P Lens on the new Leica Cl digital. I got the adapter, but I am not sure if the lens stick too deep into the cameraboddy
Advertisement Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Hi Ulf Wold, Take a look here Voigtlander Color-Skopar 21mm f/4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lct Posted February 26, 2018 Share #2 Â Posted February 26, 2018 No problem with the M version of the CV 21/4 on the Leica M - Adapter L. My favorite 21 on the CL

lct Posted February 27, 2018 Share #4 Â Posted February 27, 2018 (edited) Problem is hitting the innards of the camera around the sensor. Some lenses protrude too deeply to be mounted on the CL. Super-Angulon 21/3.4 is a good example. I suspect the Elmar (not Macro-Elmar) 90/4 collapsible is in the same case when it is collapsed but i did not check on my CL. jaapv Posted February 27, 2018 Share #5 Â Posted February 27, 2018 Of course. The L mount is fairly wide, though.
lct Posted February 27, 2018 Share #6 Â Posted February 27, 2018 Not sure if the width of the mount is related. The Sony mount is narrower for instance but i can use the SA 21/3.4 with no problem on my A7s mod.
MDCT Posted February 28, 2018 Share #7 Â Posted February 28, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is one of my most widely used lenses. I use it on the TL2

Works for me when driving a car, works for me when mounting a lens  Well imagine a small car with a big door and a narrow seat then. The wide entrance is of little help on the CL because the lens hits the innards of the camera around the sensor. On the contrary, there is plenty of room to mount the SA 21/3.4 on Sony cameras, at least my A7s mod. A little car with a small door and a big seat so to speak . My favorite 21 on the CL"  How are the corners, LCT?  I was thinking of replacing my 21mm f2.8 ZM with a combination of the CV 21mm f1.4 [travel kit] and the 21mm f1.8 [low light, in combination with 35mm f1.2 and 75mm f2 Summicron]. Otherwise there is some normal vignetting but no red edges at all with the Skopar.

The corner color issues are moot.

Saw decent results on an M8, as this sensor is smaller, it stands to reason     Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited March 9, 2018 by james.liam
lct Posted March 9, 2018 Share #15 Â Posted March 9, 2018 I wish you were right but my M8.2 is sharper than the CL with the CV 21/4 so i don't know how the ZM 21/4.5 can behave on the new camera.
norm_snyder Posted May 17, 2018 Share #16  Posted May 17, 2018 I needed an extra stop or two, and ended up buying a used 23mm Summicron. Thanks LCT for the feedback on the 21 f4. I’ll use my 21mm ZM on the MM.
FrozenInTime Posted July 4, 2018 Share #17 Â Posted July 4, 2018 The Zeiss 4,5/21 C Biogon is looking very good on the TL2. Good sharpness and very little color shift At f/4.5, it only starts to drop detail and slightly shift to magenta ( on RHS ) in the outer ~ 500 horizontal pixels . Â Also the 2,8/35 C-Biogon is looking stellar. Both seem ahead of the 2.8/28 Elmarit-M ASPH (1st ) which is okay but comparatively down on micro contrast and fine detail.
