Advertisement Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Hi spacecad3t, Take a look here SL 24-90 on the CL. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
thighslapper Posted February 26, 2018 Share #2 Â Posted February 26, 2018 Big compared to the camera and not ideal. Â Apart from OIS and the longer reach offers no optical advantages over the TL/CL zooms. Â Not a lens I would stick on through choice.
helged Posted February 26, 2018 Share #3 Â Posted February 26, 2018 Big compared to the camera and not ideal. Â Apart from OIS and the longer reach offers no optical advantages over the TL/CL zooms. Â Not a lens I would stick on through choice. +1, quite unbalanced on the CL. The SL Crons are likely better on the CL, although the SL-lenses are made for the SL. Â As is the case for many, I have used the CL+90-280 on tripod. Works ok-ish, but the body is on the small side. The image quality is, however, very, very fine. And since Leica doesn't offer long L-mount lenses, the CL+90-280 is the longest (L-)reach you can get.
ropo54 Posted February 27, 2018 Share #4  Posted February 27, 2018 Thoughts on size? Any one have photos of it on the CL?  Thank you!  It is big and heavy, but holding the lens with one hand makes it somewhat 'comfortable'. Some photos below. Welcome, dear visitor! grahamhoey Posted February 28, 2018 Share #5 Â Posted February 28, 2018 Hi Rob, like that strap particularly for the camera with a heavy lens. What type of strap is it
ropo54 Posted February 28, 2018 Share #6  Posted February 28, 2018 Hi Rob, like that strap particularly for the camera with a heavy lens. What type of strap is it  Graham, It is a "Peak Slide lite" and  is a terrific strap. It really helps dissipate the weight and the front buckles allow one to adjust the length that the camera hangs.  Around $50 USD and sold online or even at Best Buy stores, if one is located near you.  (Note that I had to remove the rings from the Leica strap as I could not thread the Peak connectors through the CL's lugs).   Rob

It is then easy to pull the connector loop through the lug.

thighslapper Posted February 28, 2018 Share #9 Â Posted February 28, 2018 Rob and Archie ...... Peak Design have changed the loops and the cord is now much thinner (but the same strength) ...... it is now easy to thread through the CL lugs. New replacement ones are cheap on Amazon ....

If you find it difficult, use a loop of Dental Floss to pull them through the hole.
