Thanks again ICT. I know that, I read it. Even I compared Putts's M28 and R28 v2 charts side by side. On his graphics (I think they are all prapred by Leica though) both lenses seem identical in terms of sharpness, R28 v2 seem a bit better though. These are all on lab tests. Real life tests, as you know are different, especially for Leica lenses. Edited November 4, 2019 by Metin Colak

I can't like these aspheric lenses, although sometimes I like some images taken with this 28 asph. I like imperfection, depth, mild spherical aberration; a rendering between the classical and the modern. The R28 v2 and M28 III and IV seem close to this aesthetics. The difference is not huge for sure but as far as MTF charts as concerned i'm not sure the R lens is any better. M 28/2.8 v4 (11809): Welcome, dear visitor! R 28/2.8 v2 (11333):  At f2.8 Sagittal (solid line) and tangential (dotted line) structures of the R28 v2 seem a bit better. The M28 V4 has more gradual decrease in contrast and resolution at the edges. However R28 V2 has abrupt decrease at the edges, but in the graphics it seems at the very edges. The M28 v4 at f8 seems more consistent though. The M28 v4 might be a better choice for landscape. But with a 30cmm minimum focusing distance the R28 v2 might be more than a landscape lens for sure.. Thanks ICT for the contribution once again. Best regards, Metin Colak.  Edited November 4, 2019 by Metin Colak
