    M240 and elmar 135 4.0 (1961)

Leica M240 and Tele-Elmar 135 is incredible! You can get very distinctive images. You might feel that you are a painter rather than a photographer, it is that good. It has a unique OOF rendering. The only drawback is the minimum f stop! One stop faster this lens would be marvel. You can see my other 135 Tele-Elmar photographs I uploaded to my account on 500px: https://500px.com/metintext Leica M240+Tele-Elmar 135mm f4 @4

Thanks Pico, Otto, and Adan for your valuable contributions. Adan, I would like to complete your Degas Motto, with Nietzsche's famous words: "We have art in order not to die of the truth." M240+Summilux-M 75mm @2.8

In praise of the Mandler lenses

Real artists do not talk too much...But their works... Mandler did not talk too much... It is hard to find so many interviews made with him... Only a few, not more than 2-3... When Erwin Puts calls him as a 'pragmatist' rather than a genius he made a vital mistake though, he was real genius; a genius created an undefinable mixture of photography and painting which transcends photography as a medium, and reality in the end...

In praise of the Mandler lenses

An incredible lens. It gives you opportunity to discover your potential and every day. You discover its secret powers as long as you use it. Its images can be beyond reality if you know how to use it...

    35mm 1.4 Summilux pre-asph

Dear friends, I can't decide between Lux 35 Pre- Ash and Lux 50mm Pre Asph. I am aware they are different focal lengths.. I like the bokeh and OOF of the Lux50, but, I love the glow of the Lux35. I also have Lux50 Asph version! I like the rendering of the pre asph version. And Lux 35 has also a wider field of view so I can use it for environmental portraits. Which one of them you would choose if you have only one option? I know it is a hard question but I need your help before deciding... Thanks a lot in advance....

    35mm 1.4 Summilux pre-asph

Dear all, is there any significant difference between the versions of 35Lux pre-asph in terms of so called 'Leica Glow', or image rendering. Some suggest German version is better, others say earlier versions produce better glow and distinctive rendering. I would like to hear the opinion of the people who own, or use(d) these versions. Which version do you recommend?

    Show us some Mandler Magic

Especially Green, Blue, and Yellow seem very lovely, distinctive in the 75Lux images.. I have to say that the Tele-Elmarit 90mm f2.8 v2 also produce similar distinctive colours (I prefer f2.8) with a bit softer bokeh in the background.

    Noctilux f1 or 0.95?

Dear Evikne, Thank you for your comment.. I saw a lot of photos on flickr taken with the Noctilux f1. I own Summilux 75 which is really an amazing lens, it exhibits 'Mandler look', escpecially at f1.4. I just would like to know is there any noticible difference between these two lenses at their minimum f stops and minimum focusing distance. I always work with the f1.4 on my Summilux 75.. If I buy it I will use it at f1 mostly. So I just try to justify the price for me.. Maybe it would be better to own both like you.. Thank you for your helpful comment once again...

    50mm or 75mm

By the way, I have Lux50 Asph. and Lux75 f1.4. Before I purchased Lux75 f1.4 I read a lot of opinions and saw a lot of photographs of Lux75 f1.4. Most of the opinion shared the one idea: It is a great lens. And after purchasing it I experienced the same! It is really an amazing lens! It is different from any other lenses, including Lux50 Asph. It has a dual character; very soft, magical at f1.4, and becomes sharp after 2.0-2.8, very sharp after 4.. One more note: Lux 75 produces especially amazing blue and green. It can only be compared with, I think, Noctilux f1. And unfortunatly I don't have the Noctilux!
