If you buy a 4 year old Q, it will be a first generation product with possible early design weakness. You have to assess the available facts and reach your own decision. It also depends on the type of environment you are exposing the camera to and how easy it is to get your camera to a workshop capable of removing the lens. Hence the cost. I no longer shoot with a fixed lens leica but many others do and are very satisfied.. why not look for a newer model Q with some remaining warranty ?
