TL's new portrait lenses - 75/2 and 90/2 ?

Hey!

 

Price aside - aren't the new SL 75mm and SL 90mm a great portrait lenses TL/CL owners hoped for? Is there any disadvantage of them being for SL except price and size? Do you think quality and AF performance will match TL/CL lenses? I think it should.

 

Also, for SL owners there's a huge advantage - well, it's an SL lens So i.e. owning SL50 and SL90 would give you four high performance high quality choices: 50mm, 75mm (50 mounted on TL/CL), 90mm and 135mm (90 mounted on TL/CL) FOV. What do you think about that?

Agree completely.

 

The 50 1.4 on the CL is superb! (I had wondered about also acquiring the SL 75 but really find no need to, particularly as I also have the 24-90 and a R 80 1.4). I think I would opt for the 50 1.4 in lieu of one of the TL lenses were I intending on a portrait and had it as an option.

 

I really do not mind the size either.

Oh, but I have possible bad news coming (although I haven't ever done any tests on it, especially with SL75 / SL90 / SL50 on the TL/CL)

quite pricy for using them on the CL (only). But I think it is the first SL lens which also appeals for use on both cameras.
