I have a monochrom mk1 with only 1500 SC and a clean CCD, my 5 years is almost up was wondering if there is a way to speed up the corrosion so I can have it replaced for free instead of out of my pocket after the 5 years mark.

As far as could be read in the international Rangefinderforum, many early cases of sensor corrision have been reported from tropical Asian areas.
Would it be enough to go there on holiday a few times or to live permanently in a warm, humid climate?
But instead of provoking a doubtful warranty case, one should think with such fears about an up grade on a non-endangered camera.
