I got a CL to compliment the M at times where I would want AF and a backup camera, but also as as simple street shooter. Due to weather, work and recent flue I haven't had the chance to really try out a lot the camera, but can spend more time in front of the computer ...

So far I found my old Minolta 2/40 (C-Summicron 40) seems a good match size and weight wise. Same for my old LTM 3.5/35 Summaron, which almost turns the camera into Barnack Style. Fun to take pictures with it, but then the 3.5 f-stop is not a catch-all, obviously. Not speaking about flare ...

Did not try anything longer than 50. The Summilux 50 already asks for a grip when walking around with the camera in hand. But with the grip, I liked it so far.

What are your M favourites and why?

Bit soon to have favorites but i use the same M lenses as on my previous APS cameras for now. Common point is small size between them. For good light i prefer for instance 28/2.8 asph, 50/2.8 v2, 75/2.5 and 90/4 macro plus CV 21/4 and ZM 35/2.8 but this reveals my personal preferences more so than technical limitations if any. Other lenses like 21/3.4 asph, 24/3.8 asph, 28/2 v2 or 35/1.4 FLE work very well also. No problem with any 50mm or longer M lens so far. One may just bear in mind that corners with M wides are generally softer at full aperture than on cameras designed for M lenses like my M8.2 as far as crop cameras are concerned but i have never got smearing there and the CL beats my Fuji X-E2 with any M wide so far. FWIW.

+1. My Summicron-C 40/2's corners are rather soft at f/2 - f/2.8 on the CL. No problem at f/4 and above though.

You are probably right with that. Need to check again with a brick wall :)

I’ve used a 90mm Summarit with it very easily. It’s a lot lighter than the Summicron and I thought it worked very well for me.

Huh? Elmarit-M 90, no problem. Apo-Telyt 135 just fine. Summilux 24 in daily use. All without grip.

I was also using the Summilux 35 till I recently got the TL version of the Summilux. Very good and convenient but larger than the M version!
