Advertisement (gone after registration)

The manual says that the M on the ISO dial is used to set intermediate values or a value higher than 6400. I’ve set mine to 12800. But...

 

The camera allows M to be set to Auto. How does that differ to A? Seems useless to have two Auto ISO options. What am I missing?

It does seem kind of pointless. Might be worth adding this to the firmware requests page. Don’t hold your breath though.

I find it difficult to understand why companies devote such relatively small resources to firmware. There are 10s of pages documented now, with a few really good ideas. There should have been a major update out by now but so far we’ve only seen minor updates to address critical bugs or add lens compatibility.
