paulsydaus Posted January 27, 2018 Share #61 Posted January 27, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) What’s the reason for using the SRGB colour space? For initial review on screen this makes sense but for printing the book are you really sure you want to limit the gamut to SRGB? Advertisement Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Hi paulsydaus, Take a look here LUF Book 2018: entries are now closed. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
erl Posted January 27, 2018 Share #62 Posted January 27, 2018 I think you will find the final (accepted) images will be converted to CMYK by either Any or Blurb, at the time of printing. However, I am sure Andy will fill you in more succinctly when he wakes.

andybarton Posted February 11, 2018 Author Share #66 Posted February 11, 2018 Two weeks remaining to send your photographs into us for consideration for the book, everyone. Thanks!
andybarton Posted February 11, 2018 Author Share #67 Posted February 11, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am starting to collect the shots ready to send to the judges in a couple of week's time. Can I please ask that anyone yet to send their photographs does so at forum friendly sizes (up to 1280 wide) AND puts a title on the files. Otherwise the judges will have 100 "untitled.jpg"s to judge... Actually, it means that I will have to individually title any that are so described, which is a long job. Wojtek Posted February 11, 2018 Share #68 Posted February 11, 2018 Can the pictures be 18+?
andybarton Posted February 11, 2018 Author Share #69 Posted February 11, 2018 Not had that question before. The book is a charity book and will therefore be seen by many people, including children. I think it best if it is considered “Family friendly” Thanks.
erl Posted February 11, 2018 Share #70 Posted February 11, 2018 Maybe we could have a sealed section. Just joking. P.S. Donation made (last month). Still fighting with my images for submission.
farnz Posted February 12, 2018 Share #71 Posted February 12, 2018 Donation made although I couldn't spot where to add my forum name so it appears in my own name. Pete.
andybarton Posted February 12, 2018 Author Share #72 Posted February 12, 2018 Not to worry - and thanks for your contribution. I think that you can just put your forum name in as part of the "comment" section, or similar. You have broken the £2,000 barrier for us, which is excellent news.
andybarton Posted February 12, 2018 Author Share #73 Posted February 12, 2018 Still fighting with my images for submission. There are a few contributors in the same boat but you have still got a fortnight to get them to me.

andybarton Posted February 18, 2018 Author Share #75 Posted February 18, 2018 Thanks to everyone who has been submitting and donating recently. Please make sure that your forum name or real name is recorded by JustGiving. If you record as Anonymous it makes it extremely difficult for me to link the donation to the photo submission. Thanks.
