Louis Posted December 14, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 14, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anybody has another camera with 3” lcd? I wonder if any 3” screen protector would work on CL. I think the main difference could be the corners. Some are slightly rounded and some others like the one on CL have sharp corners.
Advertisement Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Hi Louis, Take a look here Screen protector for CL?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
thighslapper Posted December 14, 2017 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2017 I found an old pack of 3 for the T with 2 left and cut one to size. Not very pretty but it will do for now.
Learner Posted December 15, 2017 Share #3 Posted December 15, 2017 (edited) I have the Leica protector on my T and have wondered if it inhibits screen reaction / sensitivity. Edited December 15, 2017 by Learner
Louis Posted December 15, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted December 15, 2017 I have a very good and reasonably priced protector for my T; but the size is very different; way bigger. So, there are so many cameras in the market with 3 inch lcd; why could ‘t they go with CL? And, there are so many 3” protectors available in the market! bencychin Posted December 15, 2017 Share #5 Posted December 15, 2017 (edited) I bought the hardened glass type of screen protector designed for Canon 800 series. Positive: Crystal clear yet coated to reduce reflection. Cheap = US$7.30. Negative: Not perfect fit and cannot trim. It fits top to bottom of the full main glass screen. It is shorter than the length (left to right) of the full main glass screen (still cover the actual LCD screen). Personal preference: dislike the Matt type of protector Leica has for T series. I perceive no effect on touch sensitivity of the LCD screen. Welcome, dear visitor! Strange, that, in some cases, ebay prices differ from the original website prices. There are also some countries on ebay excluded from delivery(e.g. USA), others include postage fees. I went through a couple of test orders(US, Australia et. al.) via the original website (without triggering the final step of actually ordering the item, of course ) and there was always free delivery available. (I checked it with the advance payment option because inserting my credit card data didn't feel like a smart move at that time ) I bought my first screen protectors from these guys about 8 years ago(a rather thin plastic foil at that time which was no more than a protection against finger prints). Over the years they obviously grew bigger with much better products. My last buy this spring was a couple of BROTECT screen protectors, solid stuff, perfect fit and easy to install(video on website) They seem to offer frequent discounts(10% newsletter inscription bonus or 10% follow order discount, might be specially attractive for people with GAS !) mich
Louis Posted December 16, 2017 Author Share #13 Posted December 16, 2017 I just ordered 2 different models to see which one I would prefer. I am living in the US and I hope to receive them soon as the Leica is not available yet.

Einst_Stein Posted December 18, 2017 Share #15 Posted December 18, 2017 CL is till new. You ned t wait a few weeks, then you should find a lot of tempered glass, 9H, that matches CL. The ones that match SL, T, TL, Q, etc are already available, and usually cost less than US$5 for a pair. To take a look at the ones for SL or Q or TL, just search tempered glass on Ebay. You can also find the old style LCD hood. Nor very good for Leica, since they are not designed for Leica's side buttons.

tangfj Posted December 29, 2017 Share #17 Posted December 29, 2017 I reached out to expert shield (which I use on most of my cameras) and they have a protector for the CL listed on Amazon... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078KDTRV9 I ordered one and it should be coming in the next few days... These guys are really good so I'm not too worried about fit/etc. Anyway, just thought I'd let you guys know in case you haven't seen it yet...
