What a good idea. Rather than plunder my archives I will set out to shoot some new pictures for this thread.

I do appreciate the diversity of images shown, though all seem to have a common thread: interaction between sellers and shoppers!

Antibes, Cote d'Azur - R8 + DMR - Vario Elmar 4/35-70 - 1/250 at f/5.6 - ISO=100

Peter, this is one of yours that I liked the most: color, atmosphere and attitudes are indeed nice.

By the way, could you please explain how to write the captions below the pictures?

Dirk, the same comment as for Peter's picture: mood, tones and a plastic composition in the only single shot on which the purpose of the market is all about and prominently self-explanatory: the money transaction...

Regards to both of you and to everyone posting here,

Horacio

p.s.: Sorry John, have just seen yours on which the "transaction" is also quite evident.

Wow, what a great idea! My favourite are the one from Billingsgate Fishmarket, Istanbul and Bilbao. Here is one of two fiddlehead sellers from Kingston Peninsula Market in New Brunswick, Canada, and another one of flower sellers from the beautiful Halifax market in Nova Scotia. (both LC1)

I thought this was a great idea so here is my contribution. St. Norbert Market just outside the city limits of Winnipeg. The local Hutterites and organic farmers are here every weekend till Labour day.

Tech: LC-1, RAW, slight adjustments & USM / Save for Web in PSC2.
