freerider Posted October 17, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 17, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a D-Lux 5 that has developed an issue where all the photos come out with a vertical line in the same spot each time. I've attached an example to the topic. Has anyone else experienced this? I am hoping there is a way to fix this without having to take it in for a service. pop Posted October 18, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 18, 2017 Welcome to the forum and sorry about your issue. Unfortunately, the link to your picture does not appear to work. Perhaps you would care to upload it to the forum so that members can see it: How do I upload photos to the forum?
freerider Posted October 19, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted October 19, 2017 Ohh...I don't know what happened there. Here is the link again. I've shared it in dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ex9gzhn2ezf0qoy/8613571957_80a9e91822_o.jpg?dl=0 I can't upload it to the forum as it is above the 500kb limit. If there are still any issues I will reduce the image and attach it to the thread. Many thanks!

I've viewed the image and it seems you have a dead pixel causing the problem... There is no way you can fix this yourself as far as I know, so sending it to Leica or Panasonic is your best bet. photolotse Posted October 20, 2017 Share #6 Posted October 20, 2017 I do agree with the dead pixel theory. Probably the sensor has to be remapped at the mothership in order to ignore this dead line.
jankap Posted October 20, 2017 Share #7 Posted October 20, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dead pixel is not probable, because a whole line is affected. I think a dead amplifier. Jan
jaapv Posted October 20, 2017 Share #8 Posted October 20, 2017 Dead pixels can block the readout of a whole line; often do.
