Robert M Poole Posted October 9, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 9, 2017 Was this the steam rally? We were going to take my son but ended up going for a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine in Bury instead. www.robertpoolephotography.com
stunsworth Posted October 9, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted October 9, 2017 Robert, yes it was the steam rally last weekend. It was a bit disappointing really. There were only a handful of steam engines in a very large field. There were some small static engines, and some old cars, but it was the larger stuff that I wanted to photograph, and as I say there weren’t many of them. The weather hadn’t helped either, though it wasn’t anywhere near a Glastonbury mud experience.

The weather hadn’t helped either, though it wasn’t anywhere near a Glastonbury mud experience. That's a shame, though I'm quite glad I didn't go now! I went to the Ashley Hall traction engine rally which has a lot of large traction engines plus some smaller machines. The people though have no interest in Joe public and were quite disinterested when we showed an interest. I got a few good pictures though: https://flic.kr/s/aHsm1FW9g2 www.robertpoolephotography.com
