WinnowingFan Posted January 22, 2018 Share #171 Posted January 22, 2018 Donna Marie - Your latest two are among your strongest yet, and they are stunning. Thank you. I’m working with a LED light panel here — placed the flower on it — as well as a hand held LED. I’m new to the technique and appreciate your encouragement. WinnowingFan Posted January 22, 2018 Share #172 Posted January 22, 2018 I agree with Stuart, these two are really extraordinary!Lex[/quote I this case I used a white background. The light was hand held. Calla lilies are so scrumptious—the form does the talking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
stuny Posted January 23, 2018 Share #173 Posted January 23, 2018 Your use of an LED light panel is a great idea. Thanks.
WinnowingFan Posted January 23, 2018 Share #174 Posted January 23, 2018 This is a macro shot with the TL2. I love the architectural form of these lilies. I masked the photo with a gauzy background texture and painted it off the lily. Kinda arty[emoji1352][emoji441] but it captures the mood of the Ikebana arrangement I had made. sandro Posted January 23, 2018 Share #175 Posted January 23, 2018 LED light can work beautifully with flowers! I try it myself now and then, mostly with a handheld light, since I don't have such a LED light panel. Lex
WinnowingFan Posted January 24, 2018 Share #176 Posted January 24, 2018 LED light can work beautifully with flowers! I try it myself now and then, mostly with a handheld light, since I don't have such a LED light panel. Lex I have a palm sized manfrotto portable LED that has warning and cooling gels. Just enough to light the inside of a flower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pecole Posted February 6, 2018 Share #178 Posted February 6, 2018 Wow, WinnowingFan! impressive, indeed. After looking at such "art-and-technique work", I did hesitate to add the modest images I took this morning in my garden with my tiny V-Lux 20. But OK, let's forget shame : here are they, and I choose to caption them "Springtime", despite the cold (12º centigrade today in Algarve, Portugal). Welcome, dear visitor!
