I remember asking about this 'effect' before, don't remember the name, but had wanted to ask at the time -- can it be applied as a mask using, for example, a Wacom? It's an interesting effect, but wonder how it does in a more subtle application or as a background. Thanks in advance for your time.

I use Alien Snap Art -- this software has numerous possibilities to process pictures in a lot of ways which can be modified by the user further on. It is not ust clicking around. That is the first step, after I have finished before the normal jpg from the photo. And afterwards I do some final refinings in Photoshop - could be done in other software too. But not every good looking jpg gives really good results with Alien Snap Art. It is often a matter of trying. I use only my mouse, no graphic pad - although I have a big one but old Wacom. And it is not possible to process only a part or the jpg with Alien Snap Art by masking. What can be done is to separate a part of the jpg in Photoshop and save it as new jpg and the priocess this with Alien Snap Art and afterwards fill in the separated part of the original jpg which was not processed. Practically a type of composing.
