This thread is suffering from overposting by a few members; I have hidden some posts. It is a an unwritten convention that we leave space for other participants. The reason is twofold: Overposting drowns out the other posts and, as important, if one floods a thread, the viewers lose interest and won't even look at those posts any more. I keep coming back to this haunting vignette, the colors, the looks, the mood, the texture, the ambience, the focus and out of focus, the imagined subtext of what could pass through her lips, crimson black lipstick, tagged fedora, the De Niro "you lookin' at me?" tilt of her head, those near-sighted eyes burning through those 60s retro glasses, that pocket watch hanging around her neck keeping time, that name tag alias, the faux fur vest, the aquamarine green-haired boy tag along, the his/her matching tie-dye prints, his scarab neck chain, the totally Blue Velvet of it all. All right, I've had my time in the circus; time to get off the merry-go-round. Yeah, great shot, shooter. And you know if it creeps Phil out (in a good way, he says), that's worth points in the double jeopardy round where all the answers are questions. BTW Thanks to Phil for heads up on Larry Sultan and Mike Mandell!
