This thread is suffering from overposting by a few members; I have hidden some posts. It is a an unwritten convention that we leave space for other participants. The reason is twofold: Overposting drowns out the other posts and, as important, if one floods a thread, the viewers lose interest and won't even look at those posts any more. I've spent the past year working on a photo essay, documenting the Wyndford estate, in the north of Glasgow. It's a sprawling 1960's brutalist housing scheme. A lot of the locals call it 'the barracks', because it's on the site of the former Maryhill barracks. It was here that Rudolph Hess was held after he fled nazi Germany. The original stone perimeter wall of the barracks still encircles the estate.

More than half the people in the Wyndford don't work. Since the 1970's, the place has had a fierce reputation for drugs and violence. It still clings to that reputation but, in fact, it's nothing like that at all. I've been shooting my project on 120 Kodak Portra film, and my poor Leica Monochrom mk1 has been a bit neglected. I brought it out the other day, and took this picture of the Wyndford. This was with the 28mm Summicron ASPH mk1, 320 ISO.

I'm close to finishing the project, and looking forward to getting back to firing up the M Monochrom on a more regular basis.
