This thread is suffering from overposting by a few members; I have hidden some posts. It is a an unwritten convention that we leave space for other participants. The reason is twofold: Overposting drowns out the other posts and, as important, if one floods a thread, the viewers lose interest and won't even look at those posts any more. Diner dame

Upper East Side, NYC, early 2000’s

(I believe they may have now moved closer to Midtown and are called the Tramway Restaurant…? Not sure…)

Love the shot.

I think that’s the Northwest corner of 60th and Second. The frontage was redeveloped with standard silver “shopfront” glazing and is now all “City Wine” IIRC.

I’m not a native New Yorker so, thank you - you are most likely correct as I simply wander when I’m in town and usually don’t have any idea where I capture images unless there is a distinct landmark or street sign in the image.

Edit* - just found online that you nailed the location and the diner shut down around 2011.

Once they opened the Trader Joe’s under the Queensboro Bridge I was walking past that corner twice a week with my grocery shopping…the curved-ended fire escapes are slightly unusual.
