No, but the the restoration service outlined on the website certainly looks impressive (although I imagine it won't be cheap!). Good to see if you get any feedback from recent users.

I think the web address should read cameraworks-uk.com.

I've just sent an M3 to them for a paint job, new skin and prism fix.

Will report back with pictures in due course.

Got my restored M3 back from Cameraworks-UK.

Repainted in a minimalist look glossy black finish with a lizard skin effect covering.

The camera also received a full service with specific focus on the rangefinder.

A new FTA (free to air) mask* was fitted.

Honestly, based on provided image, I'm not impressed how Leica engravings were treated. But nice what they took care of inner parts.

The engravings are pure black (my choice), same as the body.

I've not done the repaint justice with my poor shot, I found the shiny surface difficult to capture.

Your M3 turned out very nicely! I have mine with cameraworks-uk at the moment, too. Cannot wait to get it back!

How do you like the viewfinder upgrade? And how does the camera "feel" mechanically?

The camera was always fine mechanically and still feels so.

With regard to the rangefinder. I only have experience of three M's the M246, M2, M3.

If I rated the M246 RF second image as a Very Good, then the M2 was Good and the M3 Poor. The second image being very faint. To the point that with my less than 100% eyesight the camera was difficult to use.

Following the work I would now rate the M3 RF as Good, about the same as my M2.

Please post some images of your camera on its return.
