stuny Posted June 27, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 27, 2007 Luckyman - Basically, this is an excellent shot, with very nice colors and composition, and with the moon showing remarkably large for its position. I did find the dirt too distracting, and tried to clone it out. This is very difficult to do on this small file, and I know you can clone it out much better on the original. At the same time I used the exposure slides just a bit to liven the effect -- Don't know if you'll like it or not. But at the very least, I encourage you to "spot" treat the image. It's too good not to.
cam2000 Posted June 27, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 27, 2007 I find using the healing brush works best and quickest in this case..... it took me less than a few minutes. Tonal range is very good..... and the composition is beautiful..... I would try defenitly clean the sensor......ether by you or a professional. I see it is your first post and I hope it will not be your last.....
Chuckcars Posted June 28, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 28, 2007 Colors are teriffic. Your eye goes to the light on the boat. I have found the dirt on the sensor is pretty normal for the M8. I clean mine with Eclipse and a Pec Pad. It is excess lubricant from the shutter, and will go away. Don't be afraid to clean it yourself with care. Do a Google search on sensor cleaning. Now, I need to go clean mine, again.

Chaipaval Posted June 28, 2007 Share #6 Posted June 28, 2007 Great shot - don't worry about the spots - use the camera, clean then ccd carefully and all will be well. Anyway I wondered whether or not to crop the picture at the top. Sorry if it spoils it. Harry
